Soil #2 is starting to become the violin it will be. They are very close in sound, their timbre and play-ability are as close as it can get. #1 is a little bit more focused and #2 is a little bit more echoing. Their weight without chin rests are 404/402 g. This is only one tap each violin with a pencil and no rig. The biggest difference in tuning is that their back plates are tuned to the same frequency, but #2 with less and softer varnish. At first I thought that #2 is much bigger in sound but after 2 weeks it has evened up. I have even mistaken a couple of times, thinking I was playing the other one when constantly changing and comparing them.
